L'Antica Cantina was established in 1933 in the north of Apulia, in the Daunia countryside, South Italy. It is one of the oldest winery in Apulia with more than 400 members who cultivate about 1000 hectares of vineyards bottling over three millions liters of wine. The wines are those of NOBILES line with its variety of Nero di Troia, Bombino Bianco and Primitivo the native grapes which express the nobility of the territory and the CASTRUM line San Severo DOP white, rose and red, fruits of a fertile soil, the work of peasant hands and careful work in the cellar. The wine heritage does not end here, for some time has been enriched by other important varieties such as Falanghina, Pinot and Merlot. For 87 years L'Antica Cantina San Severo has only had one mission to enhance the grapes supplied by the members bringing the wine of San Severo in the world preserving its value. Only in this way those who taste this wine can experience the sensations that express themselves and at the same time the pleasure and the passion that the land of San Severo offers. To protect its consumers the cellar has adopted a certified ISO 9001:2008 QUALITY SYSTEM. L'Antica Cantina has its own highly modern and IFS certified ( International Food Standard) bottling plant where the wine is bottled. The cellar develops on two ( 2) production sites which extend for more than 18000 square meters and it is equipped for the reception of 18 million KG of grapes. 4 millions of these grapes are IGP and 4 million are SAN SEVERO DOP. The technical structure of the company takes care of the processing . The winemaker and technologist are employees of the cooperative. Bottling is equipped with an automated line for bottles of 5000 pcs/h.
